Toilet Bowl Cleaning 2

To make your own toilet bowl cleaner, you can use simple ingredients that are often found in households. Here’s a recipe for a homemade toilet bowl cleaner:

Ingredients:

1 cup baking soda
1 cup white vinegar
10 drops of essential oil (optional, for fragrance)
1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide (optional, for extra cleaning power)
Water (as needed)
Instructions:

Start by pouring the baking soda into a bowl or directly into the toilet bowl.
Gradually add the white vinegar to the baking soda, and mix well. You will notice a fizzing reaction, which is normal.
If desired, add 10 drops of your preferred essential oil to the mixture for a pleasant fragrance. Popular choices include tea tree oil, lavender oil, or lemon oil.
Optionally, you can include 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide to enhance the cleaning properties of the solution. This is particularly useful for stubborn stains.
Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined. If the mixture appears too dry, add a small amount of water to achieve a paste-like consistency.
Once you have a smooth paste, apply it to the inside of the toilet bowl using a toilet brush. Make sure to cover the entire surface, including under the rim and waterline.
Let the cleaner sit in the bowl for about 15-20 minutes to allow the ingredients to work their magic and dissolve any grime or stains.
After the allotted time, scrub the toilet bowl with the toilet brush, paying attention to any areas that require extra cleaning.
Finally, flush the toilet to rinse away the cleaner and reveal a clean and fresh toilet bowl.
Please note that homemade cleaners may not be as strong as commercial products specifically formulated for toilet cleaning. If you have particularly tough stains or persistent problems, you may need to consider a commercial cleaner or seek alternative solutions.
